Deck Machinery
HATLAPA is the only winch manufacturer who supplies winches with electric, low-pressure hydraulic, and high-pressure hydraulic drives. In 1994 the frequency inverter controlled electric drive for mooring winches was developed, and patented in 1998.

Compressors
HATLAPA is also a system supplier, i.e. many shipyards buy modules to save installation costs. The whole unit
is supplied completely piped and wired, already tested, approved and ready for commissioning. Both air and
water-cooled compressors can be supplied in modular design. More than 20 types of air and water-cooled
compressors cover all capacity ranges, some types being carried in stock. The compressors are available with
type approvals and correspond to the rules of all well-known classification societies for the prescribed
ambient temperatures. HATLAPA delivers compressors for starting air, service air and control air.

Steering Gears
HATLAPA is the only West European manufacturer who has been supplying 4-cylinder ram-type steering gears up to 45° rudder angle for more than 20 years. HATLAPA steering gears are not larger than rotary vane types and fulfill all classification and security regulations.

Turbochargers allow an engine to burn more fuel and air by packing more into the existing cylinders. Turbochargers run at very high speeds. Hence, accuracy and efficiency are the trade marks for a successful overhaul.

We are proud that our technicians are well adept in the techniques of efficiently and accurately overhauling the turbocharger be it as small as a Garrett turbocharger or as big as an ABB-VTR 630 turbocharger

For shaft diameters from approx.3/4" to 40" ( 20mm to 1000mm )

This new type of bearing have been developed using a wealth of empherical test results and computer analyses to give an optimum, all-round performance and particularly low friction coeffieient and high load capacity resulting in :

• Greater Wear resistance
• Energy saving
• Long life
• Environment friendly.

Compared to traditional, hard surfaced bearings, this slotted, water lubricated, composite rubber design lasts many times longer and is resistant to salt and brackish water as well as chemical and petroleum products. In comparison to competitive products, the water lubricated bearings display superior characteristics in areas of:

• Better material performance
• Dynamic lubrication ( water wedge design )
• Binding strength between rubber and metal shell

The nominal load capacity lies between 0.035 - 0.05 kg/mm2 and temperature range of -20ºC to 86ºC. With water flow rate of 7.8 liters per 25mm shaft dia per minute, the corresponding doefficient of friction is 0.01 to 0.02 and the minimum peripheral speed is around 0.05Mps.

The design meets US Military standards MIL-B-17901(ship) and the product has won the Gold prize at the 7th International Invention and new product exposition in USA.
